Albert Hernandez
Vice President

Mr. Hernandez joined Compressus in May 2001 in the capacity of Lead Product Engineer. In this role, he is responsible for bringing Compressus products to market as specified by the product managers. Mr. Hernandez leads the transformation of Compressus' products from concept to reality by specifying software architectures, ensuring standards compliance, and designing for maximum software reuse, scalability and performance. Mr. Hernandez has more than 15 years of design and managerial experience in the technical software market. Prior to joining Compressus, Mr. Hernandez was the Software Development Manager and Chief Architect of Boeing's Visual Computing Group's mobile and advanced product development division. Mr. Hernandez's division consisted of software development, and algorithm design teams addressing the product design, developments, and support of Windows CE, wireless, and Web based mapping and 3D visualization products.

Mr. Hernandez joined Autometric Inc. in 1997 as a senior software design manager. During this period Mr. Hernandez led the software development team that created Autometric's Windows NT development toolkit and visualization applications. Mr. Hernandez also led the development of the company's first Mobile/Wireless products. A recognized expert in software design, Mr. Hernandez was asked to coordinate various Autometric development teams relating to data visualization, toolkit development, multiprocessing, data portal, and Web solutions.

From 1990 through 1997, Mr. Hernandez was a principal engineer with GenCorp's Aerojet group. His team gained recognition for designing, coding, testing, and releasing software modules and systems that operated on a 24-7 basis, and Mr. Hernandez himself received Aerojet's Engineering Achievement Award on multiple occasions from 1992 through 1997. Prior to Aerojet, Mr. Hernandez was a lead engineer with IBM, serving as part of the company's AIX operating system development team. The AIX operating system is IBM's core UNIX-based computer operating system, supporting high performance systems such as the RS/6000 workstation. Mr. Hernandez holds a M.S. in Computer Science from the University of California, Riverside. He also holds a Bachelors degree in Business Administration, focusing on operations research and management science, from California State University, San Bernardino.
