Thomas D. Campbell
Co-Founder and Chairman of the Board

Prior to forming Compressus, Mr. Campbell headed his own government affairs firm in Washington, D.C., representing Fortune 500 clients before the Congress and the executive branch of the federal government. He advised his clients on various matters such as tax policy, trade, energy, international affairs and federal land policy. Before forming his own firm in 1985, Mr. Campbell was an executive with the Amoco Corporation involved with the domestic production, refining, marketing and mining divisions of the company.

With Compressus, Mr. Campbell has served as the chief fundraiser and has assisted in assembling the management team. He is also active in high level sales and will continue in all the above-mentioned functions.

From 1985 to 2003, Mr. Campbell also served as the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Congressional Awards Foundation. In this capacity he reported directly to the Joint Leadership Commission of the United States Congress, which includes the majority and minority leaders of the Senate, the Speaker of the House of Representatives and the minority leader of the House of Representatives. Mr. Campbell is a graduate of the University of Delaware with a degree in economics. He also holds a J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania and is admitted to the bar in Delaware. Mr. Campbell served in the United States Army and the Air National Guard.
